On Friday, Elon Musk officially announced Linda Yaccarino Appointed as the new CEO of Twitter. Yaccarino will join the social media giant in about six weeks.
Yaccarino and Musk met in April at MMA’s POSSIBLE Miami event, where Yaccarino interviewed Musk. With Yaccarino soon taking over Twitter’s leadership role, their conversation now feels like a job interview.
In exchanges, Yaccarino spoke positively about Mask and Twitter. She also asked if, as the owner of Twitter, she thinks she should be “according to different or higher standards.”
“For example, you said you shouldn’t tweet after 3 a.m.,” Yaccarino said. “Could you be a little more specific and don’t tweet after 3am?”

Musk responded by saying, “I want to be less tweeting after 3 a.m.,” but said it was “wrong” for others to influence what he tweeted.
“It would lead to a curtailment of free speech,” he said.
When Yaccarino asked Musk how he was approaching Twitter’s rebranding efforts, Musk replied: “I try to make Twitter fun, interesting and informative. What is Twitter optimization? [to] Maximize user time with no regrets. ”
Musk added that “free speech is necessary for civilization to advance.”
Departure of Yacarino of Comcast Corporation NBCUniversal revealed Friday morning. She served as chairman of the company’s global advertising and partnerships division and played a key role in the launch of Peacock, NBCUniversal’s ad-supported streaming service.
