A video shared on Twitter caught Musk’s attention. “This is really ironic,” he commented. Plus, the Tesla Model Y is Switzerland’s best-selling car, so he ended his tweet with a “rolling on the floor and smiling” emoji.

To substantiate his claims, he also shared a media report that the Tesla Model Y is Switzerland’s best-selling car, dubbed “Europe’s playground.” The stats shared are for his period from January 2022 to September.
Volkswagen AG VWAGYMore Skoda’s ICE car, the Octavia sedan, came in second, closely followed by Tesla’s Model 3.
Important reasons: Sales figures from various parts of the world show that Tesla is making progress in several international markets. That said, Tesla is facing a slowdown in demand as potential customers are drawn to rival makers’ cheaper alternative EVs. To this end, the company has significantly reduced vehicle prices in several countries.
Price action: Tesla shares are trading 6.1% higher at $129.88 at the time of writing on Monday, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
